At times some tools are compatible between different aircraft fleets. However, you need to refer to the (AMM) Aircraft Maintenance Manual for tool applicability.

These black boxes are actually painted with a heat-resistant bright orange color in order to make them easier to find in the wreckage resulting from the crash.
